The experience of the construction site of the Acropolis under restoration today, cannot be separated from its relation to the urban magma that surrounds it: contemporary Athens. The city and the Acropolis to me are united in the beauty of their incompleteness, in their fragmentary and fragile existence and in the truth that they reveal: The ruins of modernity and the ruins of antiquity, both under construction, ad infinitum.
